Over the rooftops of Cologne

New York, Tokyo, Hong Kong - here you want to climb one of the skyscrapers to enjoy the breath-taking views at dizzying heights. But in Cologne? You bet! We'll take you high up in the Rhine metropolis and present you the cathedral, the banks of the Rhine and the enchanting and bustling hustle and bustle of Köllner Gassen, while you enjoy the most spectacular view.

It's not exactly the Empire State Building, we admit. The LVR building in Cologne has, despite the lack of metropolitan glam, a valid argument for visiting: it's 103.20 meters high. Ridiculous, you think? Far from that. You can reach the 29th floor and the 400-square-meter viewing platform after climbing the 565 steps (don't panic, there's also an elevator) of the "KölnerTriangel" high-rise in Deutz.

Die-hard DSDS (German singing contest) fans know the view from the talent show's casting episodes. Even Dieter Bohlen and Co couldn't distract from the spectacular view of the Rhine metropolis. The "KölnerTriangel" can do something. Trust us!The ride to the observation deck costs 3 Euros. Money well spent, we say. Cologne Cathedral has never looked more majestic, Cologne city center and its many Rhine bridges have never looked more sublime and the Cologne skyline has never looked more cosmopolitan than from up here. 3 Euros for a ride up high. And you know: Happiness always lives at the top.
